By foot
What a delight to stroll along the small streets!
Breathing in the fragrance of the pine trees, admiring a villa, watching the
ocean, exchanging with the local residents… Walking from one place to the
next, it is taking full advantage of what the resort has to offer and of life.
The town is not vast, distances will not stop you.
You came by train ?
Scarcely off the train, you are in the centre of town. Nearby, hotels,
restaurants and local shops are welcoming you. A few more steps and the
beach is stretching out before your eyes. We highly recommend a stroll on
the newly refurbished seafront, especially designed for pedestrians
By bike
Whether you like riding a mountain bike or a bicycle, or maybe an electric
bike, Pornichet is providing you with multiple bike lanes.
In the centre of town, towards the beaches, to go to the market or for
getaways in the surroundings, biking will soon become your best ally.
Going whichever way the wind blows, with a sense of plenitude and
without any parking concern, you will eat up the distance and fully enjoy
your holiday.
In a hop, you will reach Saint-Nazaire and La Baule using the bike lanes or

Shame ! You don’t have a bike !
No problem. You may rent one from the local bike shops, which include
our partners Mondovélo or Veloc'Ouest.
You might also hire an electric bike from the docking stations available at
the train station and next to the hippodrome roundabout. Easy!

By bus and shuttle
Walking or cycling to Saint-Nazaire or La Baule, not your cup of tea…
Fortunately, buses and shuttles are available!
Pornichet and the Guérande Peninsula offer a great bus network with two
companies: STRAN which take you to and from any town within Saint
Nazaire area and Lila Presqu'île to reach any town of the Guérande Peninsula
(Le Pouliguen, La Baule, Le Croisic, Guérande…)
The little extra that makes the difference: get preferential rates when
buying tickets from the Tourist Office.
Moreover, in summer, des navettes estivales, complimentary shuttles travel
through Pornichet on three routes: Centre of town, coastline and villages.

Travelling around with the tourist train
A different way to move about which feels like a vacation on its own: le
petit train.
Tied up to the seafront, it travels from Pornichet to La Baule along the
oceanfront offering a memorable experience. Tickets are available from
the Tourist Office or onboard the tourist train.
