Libraires Beach
About
A dynamic beach
A short stroll from the town centre is the Plage des Libraires -meaning the Booksellers’ Beach! Its name comes from the booksellers and publishers who would come in the late 1800s and stay at the Hôtel de la Plage, which was run by Philippe Toubon, a bookshop owner from Angers.
This beach boasts an unbeatable view across one of the world’s most beautiful bays, a sand that glitters gold in the sun, a gentle slope down to the sea for the safest and simplest of entries into the water, and at 2km long it’s perfect for families.
